CARNE AND QUESO
BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE BEEF-JERKY LOW-TOP DUNK
First I took a perfectly good pair of Nike Dunk Low Pro SBs and took out all the stitching holding it's sweet smelling smooth leather together. Then I traced each piece of leather and kept a record of wear it was arranged on the shoe.
Next I created a digital pattern of the Dunk skin and printed it on an over sized printer.
Next, I cut each piece out and starting with the back, used tape to reconstruct the shoe.
And there you have it, a Nike Dunk Low Pro SB made out of paper.
Since the prototype came out as planned, I have now begun to construct a Nike Dunk Low Pro SB out of sheets of delicious beef jerky. Hope to have it done soon for your visual and gastronomical pleasure. I also plan to make some others out of different materials, any ideas?
